Fantastic band, deserve to be a lot lot bigger than what they are. Give their album a listen to if you get the chance, it really is a great record.

Band: Her Bright Skies
Song: Little miss obvious
Fantastic band, deserve to be a lot lot bigger than what they are. Give their album a listen to if you get the chance, it really is a great record.
Band: Lower Than Atlantis.
Song: Beach like the tree.
Great song from an up and coming band, check them out.

Some bands get a rough deal when they release new albums for “Selling out”. This I feel, could be what happens to architects with old fans accusing them the with exactly that, something that I feel is rather harsh on a band that is developing into a powerhouse. Their new album” The here and now” is a great piece of Alternative/ post hardcore.
As soon as the first song “Day in day out” kick’s in you know you are in for a treat, the screams of singer Sam carter hook the listener as the pounding drums suit the guitars as they chug their way through a great song, a song that should be gracing bigger stages that what the band are currently playing. The second song learn to live takes the same route as the first, guitar hooks that a similar to bands such as Senses fail and Bring me the horizon keep the listening waiting for the next pre-chorus, the next breakdown, the next hook in a huge chorus.
The band has taken very large and brave steps in their development. They will no doubt lose fans for the move away from the metal core scene screams have gone in the now more mature chorus’s with will reach out to a larger audience. People need to see that this band is developing, this is a great album, a must for fans of post-hardcore bands. This album is still heavy, give it a listen, you will not be disappointed.
“The here and now” is now out on century media worldwide and distort entertainment in Canada.
Must listen song: Day in day our, Learn to live, Red eyes
Funeral for a friend return with an album that will turn heads.

For 8 years now funeral for a friend have been at the forefront of the UK’s rock scene. The post hardcore 5 piece have gone through several changes over the last couple of years and have moved into the background of a scene that seems to been taken over by bands from across the pond.
With a disappointing last album some would say the legs on this now aging rock band were going. The new album though, would make the doubters eat their words.
Welcome home Armageddon is wonderful piece of musicianship, beautifully structured, soaring vocals and a sound of what funeral for a friend were a good 5 years ago. The album sounds more like their second album “Hours” than “casually dressed…” with the band bringing back more of their hardcore sound with screams and yells from the now more prominent Ryan Richards on drums.
The album is a reminder to a scene that doubted them, this band is no where near finished and has many more years left in them.
Welcome home Armageddon is out now on Good Fight music and Roadrunner USA.
Must listen songs: Man alive, Front row seats to the end of the world.
